Master Key Experience – Week 20 – Concentration & Focus

In Part 20 of The Master Key, Haanel opens with Theologians saying that ‘God is Love, and that God is omnipresent. If this be true, there is no place where God is not’.

But don’t let that distract from the point that Haanel makes when he states that ‘the only activity which spirit possesses is the power to think. Thinking is therefore a creative process. So all form is the result of the thinking process’.

This is where Napoleon Hill got his famous quote, “Thoughts are things”.

Haanel goes on to state that ‘Thinking is the true business of life, power is the result. You are at all times dealing with the magical power of thought and consciousness’.

I can’t help wanting to reiterate that The Master Key was published in 1916, and was way ahead of it’s time, (in my humble opinion).

There is still so much to unpack in Part 20 that it requires one’s full and undivided attention. This is truly a correspondence course that can not be read like a novel.

In paragraph 18 Haanel writes, ‘Inspiration is from within. The Silence is necessary; the senses must be stilled, the muscles relaxed, repose cultivated. When you have come into possession of a sense of poise and power you will be ready to receive the information or inspiration or wisdom which may be necessary for the development of your purpose’.

At this point I would be remiss if I didn’t share how Haanel expresses how to manifest more in your life; in paragraph 21 he wrote, ‘In order to secure the larger supply your demand must be increased, and as you consciously increase the demand the supply will follow, you will find yourself coming into a larger and larger supply of life, energy and vitality’.

I think that is pretty powerful, and sounds to me like another way to express the law of attraction.

So, to wrap this up in a nice tidy bow, I want to share the Sit Exercise about Concentration; Haanel wrote, ‘when you can realize this clearly you will have found the secret of the creative power of thought, you will have found the origin of both good and evil, you will have found the secret of the wonderful power of concentration, you will have found the key to the solution of every problem whether physical, financial, or environmental’.

Like I said, this is powerful stuff, which is why it is recommended that it be read once a day for an entire week, if not longer…until it sinks in, (if that is possible in a weeks’ time).

If you are still here, I applaud your persistence and will-power, and want you to know that I appreciate you for taking the time to read my Blog. I would also greatly appreciate you dropping a comment below.

I hope that you will tune-in next week for another installment.

  1. Thanks Randy – it took me a second to figure out what you were saying, but I got it. Every week seems to get more and more intense and full of ‘points to ponder’…or maybe I am growing and understanding more. I hope it is the latter.
